Where we are
Agriturismo Monte Roio is located in the middle of a green valley, below the hill of Valentano, medieval village where the noble Farnese family used to live and where is now the Museum of the prehistory of the Tuscia in the Farnese stronghold. The farmhouse is a few minutes away from Lake Bolsena (8 Km), the Tuscan “Maremma” and Umbria, as well as a few miles from Viterbo, the archeological site of Vulci, the thermal baths of Saturnia and San Casciano and the seashores of Montalto and Capalbio. Monte Roio can be easily reached by car, train or plane.
From the A1 highway exit of Orte, proceed towards Viterbo. Take the exit named “Viterbo nord” and follow the directions to reach Marta first and Valentano then. At the Valentano traffic circle, follow the directions to reach Canino and after just 100 meters turn right and take the Strada Provinciale Lago di Mezzano. After about one kilometer, the tree-lined avenue of Monte Roio is on the right.
The closest train stations are those of Orvieto and Montalto. From there, you can proceed either by bus or by car to reach Monte Roio which is about 45 minutes far.
The closest airports are “Leonardo Da Vinci” international airport at Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino. At the airport you can rent a car to reach Monte Roio in about 90 minutes.
